The Captureview 8x42 2.0D combines a high-performance, full-size, roof-prism binocular with a 2.0 Megapixel digital camera to capture both still photos and video. It’s perfect for viewing action sports and concerts, for observing nature or for industrial site inspection and security functions or investigations – applications that require a visual record of activity.
As a fixed-focus, digital camera, the Captureview will capture up to 40 magnified images at its full, 2 megapixel resolution, and it can store even more at lower resolution or with an optional, 256Mb SD memory card. You’ll also be able to capture up to 90 seconds of video (with instant replay) using the Captureview’s 32 Mb of internal memory and still more with the SD card. A 1.5" diagonal color LCD flips up for composing or for reviewing images and video instantly. And a USB cord is included, so you can download your images to your PC and manipulate them with the included editing software.
As a binocular, the Captureview also shines. Its large, 42mm, fully coated objective lenses deliver super-bright images even in low light, giving a generous, 376-foot field of view at 1,000 yards. Eyecups are rubber for maximum comfort, and interpupillary distance is adjustable down to 57mm for those who require narrower lens separation. The right eyecup features a diopter adjustment.
